If you are a Radboud or HAN student and you are interested in parkour/freerunning, you’re in luck! On every Wednesday from 6 May, starting around 18h30, we will be hosting free training/coaching sessions outside De Refter near the fountain. In these sessions you can learn movements such as:
- How to progress your movement-based skills in a safe and controlled way
- How to move your body in a flowing and creative way
- How to properly fail an exercise or jump through bails, rolls and other methods
- Climbing/Vaulting over boxes or rails of varying height
- How to jump further, higher and more controlled
- How to balance and walk on walls and rails
These sessions are intended for students from ages 18+ and all skill levels are welcome! Each session will begin with a guided warm-up, followed by some coaching and training in various parkour skills. While these sessions are guided, there will also be space for exploration and discovery! These sessions are being done by two students from Radboud and HAN, with assistance from the Adaptive Movement gym in Elst. If you would like to learn more about the sessions for yourself or someone you know, join our sessions in person next Wednesday and see what parkour is all about!
